Position Overview:

The Vice President of Strategy and Transformation will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic vision and overseeing critical cross-functional initiatives within the Global Products and Technology (GP&T) sector. This leadership position will also encompass the management of extensive transformation projects aimed at maintaining a competitive edge in the dynamic technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction: Define and articulate the GP&T strategy that aligns with the overarching Digital and Technology objectives. Foster strategic partnerships with various business unit technology leaders, research and development teams, and compliance functions to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Program Management: Lead and manage cross-functional GP&T programs, mitigating risks and ensuring successful project outcomes through effective stakeholder engagement and dependency management.
  • Agile Implementation: Spearhead the adoption and scaling of agile methodologies across the GP&T organization, enhancing operational efficiency and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Oversee the Digital and Technology mergers, acquisitions, and divestments portfolio, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with GSK's strategic business model.
  • Portfolio Management: Direct a value-driven Project Management Office (PMO) that emphasizes governance, planning, and performance metrics, fostering accountability and informed decision-making across all projects.
  • Financial Oversight: Establish and manage comprehensive business services for GP&T, overseeing significant vendor contracts and budgetary allocations.
  • User Experience Leadership: Champion user-centered design principles within GP&T, leading a team dedicated to enhancing employee experience through effective design practices.
  • Chief of Staff Responsibilities: Act as the Chief of Staff for the Chief Technology Officer, facilitating leadership meetings and driving special projects to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment and collaboration with external partners.
  • Cultural Leadership: Drive cultural initiatives within GP&T, fostering an inclusive environment where employees can thrive and reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale sourcing and product delivery initiatives across diverse geographical regions.
  • Strong track record of relationship management with senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Experience managing large, diverse teams in high-pressure settings.
