Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President of GP&T Strategy, Transformation & Portfolio Management Office (STPMO) will spearhead the strategic vision and oversee critical cross-functional initiatives for Global Products and Technology (GP&T) alongside GSK Digital & Tech.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and govern long-term transformation programs for GP&T to maintain a competitive edge in the fast-paced technology landscape.
  • Assume full ownership and accountability for the Digital and Tech portfolio encompassing Merger, Acquisition, and Divestment initiatives.
  • Drive operational efficiencies across business functions while ensuring robust command and control over essential processes, including financial and governance aspects.
  • Define, articulate, and execute the GP&T Strategy that aligns with the overarching Digital and Tech Strategy, covering everything from Front Line Services to the comprehensive technical infrastructure stack and advanced Enterprise Data & Analytics platforms.

Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with Business Unit Technology Leads, Research & Development, Global Supply Chain, and Commercial and Medical teams. Collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Office and Global Risk and Compliance functions, ensuring alignment with the Office of the Chief Digital and Technology Officer.

Cross-Functional Program Management: Lead and manage all cross-functional GP&T programs, mitigating risks and ensuring successful delivery outcomes. These initiatives often span across the enterprise, necessitating frequent engagement with senior stakeholders and meticulous dependency management.

Agile Delivery Leadership: Oversee the scaling and management of agile delivery across the GP&T organization, focusing on establishing and facilitating agile release trains, enhancing agile methodologies, and integrating DevOps practices throughout the Digital & Tech organization.

Portfolio Management Office: Operate a value-driven and agile-focused PMO, encompassing governance, planning, reporting, change control, quality assurance, risk management, and key performance indicators. Foster effective decision-making and accountability across the project and program portfolio while embedding robust standards and promoting continuous improvement.

User Experience Design: Enhance the understanding of user-centered design principles within GP&T, leading a team of designers to collaborate on projects and embed design methodologies, ensuring a focus on employee experience and conducting user research.

Leadership and Team Development: Act as the Chief of Staff for the Chief Technology Officer, orchestrating leadership team meetings, serving as a second-in-command, and driving special projects. Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, while directly managing a team of approximately 80 employees. Establish clear objectives and accountabilities for direct reports, fostering a culture of performance and potential maximization.
