Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President of GP&T Strategy, Transformation & Portfolio Management Office (STPMO) is tasked with establishing the strategic vision and overseeing critical cross-functional strategies for GP&T (GSK Global Products and Technology) as well as GSK Digital & Tech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and govern long-term transformation initiatives for GP&T to maintain a competitive edge in the fast-paced technology landscape.
- Oversee the portfolio of Merger, Acquisition, and Divestment programs within Digital and Tech, ensuring accountability and ownership.
- Drive operational efficiencies and maintain comprehensive oversight of core processes, including financial and governance frameworks.
- Define, articulate, and execute the GP&T Strategy, which will support the overarching Digital and Tech Strategy, encompassing everything from Front Line Services to advanced Enterprise Data & Analytics platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders across various business units, including Tech Leads, R&D, Global Supply Chain, and commercial and medical sectors. Collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Office and Global Risk and Compliance functions to ensure alignment.
Cross-Functional Programme Management: Lead and manage all cross-functional GP&T programs, mitigating risks and ensuring successful outcomes. These initiatives often span the entire organization, necessitating regular engagement with senior stakeholders and meticulous dependency management.
Agile Delivery: Accountable for scaling and managing agile delivery across the GP&T organization, focusing on establishing and facilitating agile release trains, enhancing agile methodologies, and integrating DevOps practices throughout the Digital & Tech organization.
Portfolio Management Office: Operate a value-driven PMO that emphasizes governance, planning, reporting, change control, quality assurance, risk management, and key performance indicators. Promote effective decision-making processes that are accountable and value-driven across the project and program portfolio.
Design & User Experience: Enhance the understanding of user-centered design principles within GP&T, leading a team of designers to collaborate on projects that prioritize employee experience and conduct user research.
Chief of Staff Role: Act as the Chief of Staff for the CTO, orchestrating leadership team meetings, serving as the second-in-command, spearheading special projects, and establishing objectives and performance metrics for the team.
Team Leadership: Directly manage approximately 80 employees, establishing clear responsibilities and objectives for direct reports, while fostering an environment that encourages growth and maximizes potential.
