Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President of GP&T Strategy, Transformation & Portfolio Management Office (STPMO) will spearhead the strategic vision and oversee critical cross-functional initiatives for GP&T (GSK Global Products and Technology) as well as GSK Digital & Tech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and govern multi-year transformation initiatives for GP&T to maintain a competitive edge in a fast-paced technological landscape.
- Assume ownership and accountability for the Digital and Tech portfolio encompassing Merger, Acquisition, and Divestment programs.
- Drive operational efficiencies across business functions while ensuring robust command and control over essential processes, including financial and governance aspects.
Strategic Direction: Responsible for defining, articulating, and executing the GP&T Strategy, which will serve as a foundation for the overarching Digital and Tech Strategy. This encompasses everything from Front Line Services to the comprehensive technical infrastructure stack, including advanced Enterprise Data & Analytics platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with all Business Unit Tech Leaders, Research & Development, Global Supply Chain, and commercial and medical teams. Collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Office and Global Risk and Compliance functions to ensure alignment.
Cross-Functional Programme Management: Lead and manage all cross-functional GP&T programs, mitigating risks and ensuring successful delivery outcomes. These initiatives often span the entire organization, necessitating regular interaction with senior stakeholders and meticulous dependency management.
Agile Delivery: Accountable for leading, scaling, and managing agile delivery across the GP&T organization. Focus on establishing and facilitating agile release trains, continuously enhancing agile methodologies, and integrating DevOps practices within GP&T and the broader Digital & Tech organization.
Portfolio Management Office: Operate a Value and Agile-driven PMO, overseeing governance, planning, reporting, change control, quality assurance, risk management, and key performance indicators. Promote effective decision-making and accountability across the project portfolio while embedding robust standards and fostering continuous improvement.
Design & User Experience: Enhance understanding of user-centered design principles within GP&T, leading a team of designers to collaborate with products and projects, ensuring a focus on employee experience and conducting user research.
Chief of Staff Role: Act as the Chief of Staff for the Chief Technology Officer, orchestrating leadership team meetings, serving as second-in-command, leading special projects, and defining objectives and performance metrics for the team.
Team Leadership: Directly manage approximately 80 employees, establishing clear accountabilities and objectives for direct reports, while mentoring and coaching to maximize their performance and potential.
Relationship Management: Build and sustain relationships within and outside of Digital & Tech with key stakeholders, including the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, as well as senior leadership across the organization.
