Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President of GP&T Strategy, Transformation & Portfolio Management Office (STPMO) will play a pivotal role in defining the strategic roadmap and spearheading essential cross-functional initiatives for GP&T (GSK Global Products and Technology) alongside GSK Digital & Tech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee multi-year transformation programs for GP&T to maintain a competitive edge in the fast-paced technology landscape.
- Assume full ownership and accountability for the Digital and Tech portfolio encompassing Merger, Acquisition, and Divestment initiatives.
- Drive operational efficiencies and ensure robust command and control over critical processes, including financial and governance aspects.
- Define, articulate, and execute the GP&T Strategy, which will serve as the foundation for the overarching Digital and Tech Strategy, covering everything from Front Line Services to comprehensive technical infrastructure and advanced Enterprise Data & Analytics platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders across various business units, including Tech Leads, R&D, Global Supply Chain, and commercial and medical teams. Collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Office and Global Risk and Compliance functions to ensure alignment.
Cross-Functional Program Management: Lead and manage all cross-functional GP&T programs, mitigating risks and ensuring successful delivery outcomes. These initiatives often span the entire organization, necessitating regular interaction with senior stakeholders and meticulous dependency management.
Agile Delivery: Oversee the scaling and management of agile delivery practices within the GP&T organization, focusing on establishing and facilitating agile release trains, enhancing agile methodologies, and integrating DevOps tools and practices across Digital & Tech.
Portfolio Management Office: Operate a value-driven PMO that emphasizes governance, planning, reporting, change control, quality assurance, risk management, and key performance indicators. Foster effective decision-making processes that prioritize business value and accountability across the project and program portfolio.
Design & User Experience: Cultivate a deep understanding of user-centered design principles within GP&T, leading a team of designers to collaborate on projects that prioritize employee experience and conduct user research.
Chief of Staff Responsibilities: Act as the Chief of Staff for the CTO, orchestrating leadership team meetings, serving as the second-in-command, and driving special projects while establishing clear objectives and performance metrics for the team.
Leadership Development: Directly manage approximately 80 employees, setting clear accountabilities and objectives, while mentoring and coaching to maximize individual performance and potential.
