Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President of GP&T Strategy, Transformation & Portfolio Management Office (STPMO) will play a pivotal role in defining the strategic vision and overseeing critical cross-functional initiatives for Global Products and Technology (GP&T) as well as GSK Digital & Tech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and govern long-term transformation initiatives for GP&T to maintain a competitive edge in a fast-paced technological landscape.
- Assume ownership and accountability for the Digital and Tech portfolio encompassing Merger, Acquisition, and Divestment strategies.
- Drive operational efficiencies and establish robust command and control over essential processes, including financial and governance aspects.
Strategic Direction:
- Define, articulate, and execute the GP&T Strategy that aligns with the overarching Digital and Tech Strategy, covering everything from Front Line Services to comprehensive technical infrastructure and advanced Enterprise Data & Analytics platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster strategic relationships with key stakeholders across various business units, including Tech Leads, R&D, Global Supply Chain, and Commercial and Medical teams.
- Collaborate closely with the Cyber Security Office and Global Risk and Compliance to ensure alignment and risk mitigation.
Cross-Functional Programme Management:
- Lead and manage all cross-functional GP&T programmes, minimizing risks and ensuring successful delivery outcomes through effective stakeholder engagement and dependency management.
Agile Delivery:
- Oversee the scaling and management of agile delivery within the GP&T organization, focusing on establishing and facilitating agile release trains, enhancing agile methodologies, and integrating DevOps practices across Digital & Tech.
Portfolio Management Office:
- Operate a value-driven PMO that encompasses governance, planning, reporting, change control, quality assurance, risk management, and performance metrics. Promote informed decision-making and accountability across the project portfolio while fostering continuous improvement.
Design & User Experience:
- Enhance the understanding of user-centered design principles within GP&T, leading a team of designers to collaborate on projects, prioritize employee experience, and conduct user research.
Leadership Role:
- Act as the Chief of Staff for the CTO, orchestrating leadership meetings, spearheading special projects, and establishing objectives and performance measures for the team.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, while managing a team of approximately 80 employees.
Team Development:
- Set clear expectations and objectives for direct reports, providing guidance and coaching to maximize their performance and potential.
