Part of London + Regional Hotels, The Lensbury Resort is located on the Banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 155 bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, Spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds.

The Lensbury Spa features six treatment rooms which allow for a wide range of treatments to be offered by our experienced Spa team.

The Role

Reporting to the Club General Manager, the Spa Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Spa facilities and retail offerings across the resort as well as the Spa team. They will forecast and monitor the Spa's financial performance and develop a sales culture that encourages revenue and product sales whilst focusing on delivering an exceptional experience.

Key Relationships

Develop positive professional relationships with all therapists, Members, Guests to enhance the experience within the Spa.
Develop close working relationships with the wider Hotel, Sports, Health & Leisure Management teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities
Create a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors to the Spa.
Ensure the treatment rooms and all other Spa areas are highly presentable.
Always ensure the delivery of an outstanding customer-focused experience.
Keep up to date with industry trends, making proposals for potential new treatments or services.
Manage the Spa team rota to ensure maximum productivity and coverage during peak times.
Ensure compliance with all H&S and COSHH standards.
Develop a successful product offering.
Drive sales and create initiatives to maximise revenue generation.
Coach and develop your team in relation to sales and upselling skills.
Train your team around new products and services.
Forecast, set and deliver the spa budget (revenue, operating costs and payroll).
Work with the General Manager, Resort's Commercial & Marketing teams to develop and deliver the spa offering.
Co-ordinate sales and marketing strategies across the Club to deliver an attractive and fully integrated spa package to meet budget.
Assist in the development of the spa in line with industry changes to ensure relevance, growth, and commercial appeal to members, non-members and guests.
Establish SOPS to ensure the correct and consistent handling of all bookings, treatments and the accurate collection of revenue.
Manage the Spa team rota to ensure maximum productivity and appropriate coverage in line with business levels throughout the year.
Ensure all teams members are performance managed in line with Lensbury policies, with appropriate KPIs in place.
Check all commission submissions are in line with T&C's and any anomalies raised and managed in accordance with our commission scheme and specific SOP.
Assist in the management and delivery of reports as required by the Club General Manager and wider Executive Team

What we're looking for:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:

Experience gained in a similar role within a Salon, Spa or Members' club.
Level 3 or 4 qualified.
Experience with Elemis products preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt based on needs of the guest.
Strong organisational skills; managing bookings and ensuring the organisation and cleanliness of the Spa.
Proven problem solving skills and sound judgment.
A proven ability to efficiently multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment.
A passion for health, beauty and fitness.
A real team player, with the ability to collaborate with other departments and colleagues.
A strong focus on personal presentation.
Strong commercial acumen and sales awareness.
The ability to motivate, manage and train your team.
