Our commitment to managing water resources effectively is paramount, especially in regions facing the lowest rainfall and highest evapotranspiration rates in the UK.

As a Water Resource Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role within our dynamic Water Resources Team. This team is responsible for both immediate operational and long-term strategic water resource management and planning across our operational regions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and updating our company Drought Plans and conducting annual health checks.

You will be tasked with gathering demand and supply-side data, populating planning tables, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry best practices. Your analytical skills will be vital in assessing Target Headroom and Outage Allowance, which are essential for effective supply-demand balance management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with a strong focus on data accuracy. You should possess a high level of numeracy and experience in data analysis and presentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A degree in a scientific or numerical discipline is required, along with experience in regulatory data reporting and an understanding of water resource and drought planning principles. Collaboration and strong team-building skills are crucial, as is a commitment to continuous improvement in data management processes.

A valid driving license is necessary for travel to various office locations for meetings.
