Position Overview

We are excited to present an opportunity for a Water Quality Process Technician within our Water Quality Process Support division. This role is essential in delivering technical support to our operational teams responsible for ensuring the supply of safe drinking water to our customers across the region.

The focus of this position is to assist our water supply teams in maintaining high standards of water quality while safeguarding the environment. You will be tasked with investigating instances where water treatment performance does not align with our quality expectations.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to enhance their analytical and problem-solving capabilities while monitoring treatment processes.

In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging your creativity to propose new ideas and enhancements, including the implementation of best practices through coaching the broader team.

You will also be responsible for raising awareness of water treatment processes and controls, fostering a culture of competence across the Water Supply teams.

Collaborating closely with our Water Supply and Water Quality teams, you will assess asset conditions and performance using SCADA, our advanced water monitoring system, to meet operational requirements. You will conduct root cause analyses by scrutinizing data quality and accuracy, producing detailed reports, and identifying areas for improvement.

A valid full driving license is a prerequisite for this role. Please be aware that this position may necessitate a background check prior to employment.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Water Quality Process Technician role will regularly perform performance analyses of water quality metrics. Therefore, you should be adept at interpreting data to ensure our water treatment processes function effectively and efficiently.

This role is diverse, allowing you to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision, while also being adaptable to varying workloads.

You will be expected to prepare reports and deliver training to teams, so proven communication skills are essential. Additionally, you should be capable of providing technical support to personnel operating our water treatment processes, performing data analysis and interpretation. This includes diagnosing issues and proposing solutions to optimize assets and processes.
