Position Overview

Water Quality Process Control Technician

Employment Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week with standby rota participation

Location: Northumbrian Water operational area

Salary Range: £35,763 - £44,704

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Water Quality Process Control Technician to enhance our Water Quality Process Support team. This role is pivotal in delivering technical support to our operational units that provide safe drinking water to our clientele in the Essex and Suffolk regions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting investigations to identify failures in water treatment performance.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance treatment processes.
  • Coaching team members on best practices to elevate overall performance.
  • Monitoring and controlling water treatment processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilizing SCADA systems for asset evaluation and performance monitoring.
  • Performing root cause analysis and generating detailed reports on findings.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, enabling effective interpretation of data to ensure optimal operation of water treatment processes. You should be adaptable, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Key qualifications include:
  • Proven experience in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills for report writing and team training.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance to operational teams.
