Overview of the Position
Are you dedicated to environmental stewardship? We are pleased to offer a remarkable opportunity to become a part of our Estates Team as a Land and Property Specialist. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver expert guidance and services to various divisions within Northumbrian Water Limited (NWL) and its affiliated group entities concerning all matters related to land and property, including both surface and subsurface assets and associated operations.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing and executing referencing, access negotiations, Schedules of Condition, issuance of Statutory Notices, compensation discussions, and the acquisition and purchase of land rights.
Furthermore, you will contribute to the management of the Non-Operational Estate and Leasehold of the Operational Estate, which encompasses Residential, Agricultural, and Commercial properties within the NWL portfolio.
You will be tasked with delivering the capital delivery program and showcasing progress through regular updates and evaluations.
Maintaining positive relationships with landowners' representatives, tenants, and property partners will be crucial, as you aim to optimize property income and enhance revenue security to ensure a dependable income stream.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a collaborative team member with exceptional stakeholder management abilities.
The ideal candidate will possess MRICS qualifications along with experience in rural or general practice surveying, which includes agriculture, landlord-tenant relations, acquisitions, and disposals. A solid understanding of external property market influences and broader property initiatives is essential.
You should be adept at establishing and nurturing working relationships with landowners, tenants, contractors, customers, and partners, tailoring and presenting cases appropriately for different audiences.
Experience in executing diverse property and technical transactions and providing innovative solutions to maximize value and outcomes is required.
A comprehensive understanding of the diverse clientele (both internal and external) of a Utilities company and their varied needs is necessary to support the delivery of property solutions that meet service requirements. Additionally, experience in developing and implementing estate processes and managing information is advantageous.
A valid UK Driving License is a prerequisite for this position.
This role has been classified as Safety or Security Critical, and as a condition of a formal job offer, candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol screening prior to or within four weeks of their start date.
