Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our GI Services Division. This division encompasses both surgical and medical specialties focused on the management of gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing surgical pathways, ensuring efficient service delivery within a high-demand elective environment.

The ideal applicant will prioritize patient care and possess experience in a fast-paced NHS setting, demonstrating values that resonate with our Trust's core principles.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members to facilitate a seamless patient journey through our services. You will serve as the primary contact for patients throughout their entire pathway, from initial referral to treatment. The position requires a hybrid working model, allowing for both on-site and remote contributions.

As a vital team member, you will exhibit strong communication skills and a proactive approach to enhancing the patient experience. Familiarity with 18-week pathways and prior experience in admissions or pathway coordination will be beneficial.

You will need to effectively manage challenging situations involving anxious or distressed patients, employing tact, diplomacy, and empathy in alignment with Trust values.

Your developed communication abilities will be essential in addressing patient concerns or complaints with compassion and understanding, working towards solutions that reassure the patient.
