Overview of the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Coordinator for Patient Pathways within the Ear, Nose and Throat Department at Barts Health NHS Trust.

This role is ideal for a dedicated and proactive individual who is eager to contribute to a dynamic team within the Ear, Nose and Throat Service. The successful candidate will be pivotal in overseeing the administrative functions related to patient pathways, ensuring seamless collaboration within a multi-disciplinary environment. Strong organizational, communication, and HR management skills are essential, along with a commitment to providing exceptional service to our patients. A probationary period will be applicable upon commencement of employment.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Coordinator will be tasked with delivering comprehensive administrative support to assigned clinicians and patient groups. Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing individual patient pathways to guarantee timely diagnosis and treatment in accordance with clinical requirements and established waiting time targets.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in administrative procedures.
  • Proficiency in office management systems and practices.
  • Familiarity with the RTT policy and patient data confidentiality principles.
  • A solid understanding of NHS initiatives and experience in local implementation.

Skills Required

Essential skills include:

  • Strong keyboard skills for data entry and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to supervise and effectively deliver administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.
