Overview of the Role

We are pleased to announce an opening for the position of Lead Patient Pathway Administrator within the Ear, Nose and Throat Department at Barts Health NHS Trust.

This role is designed for a dedicated and proactive individual who will be a vital part of our dynamic team in the Ear, Nose and Throat Service. The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the administrative processes related to patient pathways, ensuring that our multi-disciplinary team operates efficiently. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, along with a strong commitment to providing top-tier service to our patients, are essential for this position. A probationary period will be applicable upon commencement of employment.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Patient Pathway Administrator will be tasked with delivering comprehensive administrative support to assigned clinicians and patient groups. Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing individual patient pathways to guarantee timely diagnosis and treatment in accordance with clinical requirements and established waiting time targets.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent experience in administrative procedures.
  • Familiarity with office management systems and practices.
  • Understanding of the RTT policy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality standards regarding patient information.
  • Awareness of NHS-wide initiatives and experience in local implementation.

Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated high-level administrative experience through training and practice.
  • Proven ability to manage a small team effectively.
  • Experience in an office setting.
  • Previous involvement in NHS or healthcare environments.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient keyboard skills for data entry and system access.
