Position Overview

An accomplished Patient Pathway Manager is sought to enhance operational efficiency within the Urology Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless patient journey through our healthcare services.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of a large administrative team, collaborating closely with consultants and clinical teams to deliver exceptional service. You will serve as the primary liaison for colleagues, patients, families, and external organizations, overseeing the management of patient pathways while ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the administrative team, fostering a supportive and developmental environment.
  • Oversee daily administrative functions to guarantee efficient operations.
  • Establish and uphold effective office procedures and systems.
  • Manage team schedules, leave requests, and performance assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Address complex patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and compassion.
  • Ensure adherence to NHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Coordinate bookings and scheduling for diagnostic services, including prostate biopsies.
  • Manage appointments for focal treatments such as High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and Cryotherapy.
  • Oversee waitlist management for focal procedures.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives within the department.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within healthcare administration.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in healthcare-related software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with NHS standards and practices is highly advantageous.
