About the Role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NHS Specialist Nurse to join our team in the Uro-Oncology department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients with urology cancers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership in the care of patients with urology cancers, acting as a resource and consultant to provide information and support to patients, carers, and staff.
  • Liaise effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve a synchronized specialist service.
  • Develop or contribute to the formulation of policies and guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Provide informal and formal teaching for patients, staff, and carers as relevant, including academic courses provided by The School.

Requirements
  • First-level registration as a nurse.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • First-level degree in a relevant subject.
  • Higher degree or willingness to undertake one.
  • Teaching qualification or experience.
  • Experience in urology or oncology.

  • Post-registration qualification relevant to the specialty.
