The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NHS Specialist Nurse to join our team as a Penile Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, providing holistic care and health promotion to patients with penile cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert-level care and management to patients with penile cancer in the outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Develop and implement electronic holistic needs assessments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Collaborate with the Urology Multidisciplinary Team to provide high-quality patient care and support.
- Develop and maintain service protocols and guidelines for penile cancer and penile prosthetic services.
- Provide cover for the Uro/Oncology CNS service as required.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a degree in Nursing and current NMC registration.
- At least 2 years of experience in Urology or Oncology, with a strong understanding of clinical risk and research-based care.
- Advanced communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage resources.
- Experience in audits and data collection, with a strong understanding of evidence-based care.
- Ability to teach and develop others, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
