Job Title: Children's Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Nurse Specialist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Children's Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist nursing care to children and young people with ongoing conditions such as asthma, eczema, and constipation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver specialist nursing care to children and young people in various settings, including homes, schools, nurseries, and the community.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff and students, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Work collaboratively across the children's community nursing service to ensure the integration of care into the wider children's community nursing service.
  • Contribute to ongoing service development and the integration of care into the wider children's community nursing service.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience working as an autonomous practitioner within acute, community, or primary care settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and service users.
  • Ability to provide high-quality specialist nursing care, education, and training to children and young people.
  • Knowledge of population-based approaches to healthcare and the ability to work in a community-based setting.
