We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Lead with extensive experience in civil engineering and cabling operations within the telecom sector. This role is pivotal in managing our commercial team at Circet Ireland & UK.

As the Senior Commercial Lead, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the commercial functions associated with various projects, ensuring effective management of contracts, and enhancing profitability through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee commercial operations across multiple project categories, including Design, Testing & Commissioning, Materials, and Telecoms.
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to manage work packages and control project changes.
  • Coordinate with Project and Contracts Managers to gather essential project information.
  • Manage work package costs, including forecasting and budget oversight.
  • Prepare comprehensive internal and external commercial reports.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee costs related to direct labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Estimate changes and variations using established methodologies.
  • Forecast costs and evaluate the financial performance of completed work packages.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commercial strategies.
  • Conduct meetings with clients and senior management to align cost projections with project timelines.
  • Work closely with Tender and Bid teams to attract new clients and projects.
  • Formulate strategies for supplier engagement within the UK market.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Implement and adhere to the company's safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all contracts are delivered safely, with quality and on schedule.
  • Promote a culture of 'Right First Time' throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Maximize efficiency and minimize costs to achieve contract profitability.
  • Manage client relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Champion innovative practices to enhance service delivery and support change initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex bids and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, costs, and profit margins.
  • Familiarity with profit and loss management.
  • Experience in dispute resolution processes.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction law.
  • Experience with NEC, JCT, ICE, and bespoke contracts.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with a strong problem-solving capability.
  • Proficient in IT applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
