Job Summary:
Circet Ireland & UK is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading, assisting and developing the commercial function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement commercial reporting systems and procedures to maximise commercial benefits of all responsible contracts.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to mitigate risks and ensure optimal pricing of variations.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams to manage work packages, including forecasting, budget management and control.
- Prepare internal and external commercial reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Establish and maintain interfaces with key stakeholders, including clients and senior management teams.
- Manage costs of direct labour, material, plant and subcontractors to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Estimate change and variations using various methods to ensure accurate cost projections.
- Forecasts cost and measure cost of completed work packages to inform business decisions.
- Assist with the implementation of commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Hold meetings with clients and senior management teams to ensure cost projections align with business objectives.
- Work proactively with the Tender and Bid teams to secure new clients and projects.
- Develop a strategy for supplier engagement to drive business efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified or similar in a relevant field.
- Proven ability to run complex bids and multiple bids.
- Understanding of pricing, cost and profit.
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial construction law.
- Experience working with NEC, JCT, ICE or bespoke contracts.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
