The Role

We are seeking a Principal People Partner who will report directly to the Director of People and Talent. Your role will be to serve as a trusted strategic advisor and coach to our senior leaders within the Technology, Data, and Product sectors.

Your Primary Objective:

Provide expert guidance, challenge, and support to empower our senior leaders in navigating growth and transformation within their teams.

As a member of the Senior Leadership team for Data, Product, and Technology, you will grasp critical business priorities, enhance organizational and leadership capabilities, and collaborate with senior leaders and centers of expertise to identify and implement People initiatives that align with our scaling objectives while nurturing our distinctive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders on organizational design, effectiveness, key people priorities, and leadership development.
  • Advise, coach, and challenge senior leaders to broaden their people leadership mindset, skills, and behaviors.
  • Utilize people data (e.g., engagement surveys, DEI metrics, performance data, attrition statistics, or qualitative insights) to proactively identify opportunities and challenges, working with senior leaders and the People Center of Excellence to devise and implement solutions and assess their impact.
  • Assist leaders with essential People processes, such as engagement survey feedback, promotion cycles, and talent reviews.
  • Manage employee relations cases involving senior personnel.
  • Provide leadership within the People team, supporting People Partner colleagues and guiding our People Advisors.
  • Contribute to various People team initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Extensive experience in a strategic HR capacity, directly collaborating with senior leaders in technology, data, or product sectors.
  • A forward-thinking relationship builder, coach, and advisor, confident in challenging conventional approaches.
  • Strategic and analytical skills to design and implement people initiatives that align with business objectives, continuously reassessing priorities and adapting as necessary.
  • Experience in a mid-large organization with over 1500 employees, understanding what excellence looks like.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational design within a technology context.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments, recognizing that not all challenges are clearly defined.
  • A practical, hands-on approach, willing to engage directly with tasks.
  • A high level of curiosity and a self-starter attitude, demonstrating a proactive mindset.
  • Robust HR expertise, ideally supported by a relevant HR degree or Chartered CIPD qualification.
  • Experience in a fast-growth scale-up environment is advantageous but not essential.
