The Role
We are seeking a Principal People Partner to act as a strategic advisor and coach to our senior leaders within the Technology, Data, and Product sectors based in London.
Your Primary Objective?
Deliver expert guidance, challenge assumptions, and provide support to empower our senior leaders to navigate their teams through periods of growth and transformation.
As a member of the Senior Leadership team for Data, Product, and Tech, you will grasp critical business priorities, enhance organizational and leadership capabilities, and collaborate with senior leaders and centers of expertise to identify and implement People initiatives that align with our scaling objectives while nurturing our distinctive culture.
Your approach will always be people-centric and inclusive. Our employees are our greatest asset, and as a People Partner, you will help cultivate a sense of belonging and engagement for all. At Dojo, we continuously evolve by listening to our internal customers and making enhancements based on their feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leaders on organizational design, effectiveness, and leadership development.
- Advise, coach, and challenge senior leaders to broaden their people leadership mindset, skills, and behaviors.
- Utilize people data (such as engagement surveys, DEI metrics, performance data, and attrition statistics) to proactively identify opportunities and challenges, working alongside senior leaders and the People Center of Excellence to devise and implement solutions while measuring their impact.
- Assist leaders with essential People processes, including engagement survey feedback, promotion cycles, and talent reviews.
- Manage employee relations cases involving senior personnel.
- Provide leadership within the People team, supporting fellow People Partners and guiding our People Advisors.
- Contribute to various People team initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive experience in a strategic HR role, directly collaborating with senior leaders in technology, data, or product domains.
- A forward-thinking relationship builder, coach, and advisor, confident in challenging existing practices.
- Strategic and analytical skills to design and implement people initiatives that align with business objectives while continuously assessing priorities.
- Experience in a mid to large organization with over 1500 employees, understanding what excellence looks like.
- Strong knowledge of organizational design within a technology function.
- Comfort in navigating ambiguity and a fast-paced environment, recognizing that not all challenges are clearly defined.
- A practical, hands-on approach, ready to engage actively in tasks.
- A high level of curiosity and a self-starter attitude, demonstrating a proactive approach.
- Robust HR expertise, ideally with a relevant HR degree or Chartered CIPD qualification.
- Experience in a fast-growth scale-up environment is advantageous but not essential.
