Position Overview

Role: Sales Account Manager

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday

Compensation: £28-32k + Commission

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Account Manager will play a crucial role in driving business growth and managing client relationships. This position requires a blend of office and remote work, with 2 days spent at the Head Office and 2-3 days engaging with clients on-site or from home.

Account Management (40% of Role)
  • Enhance revenue streams and identify new business prospects within current customer accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to expand business opportunities and effectively manage accounts.
Business Development
  • Qualify leads and schedule appointments from an established customer base through calls, networking, and online platforms.
  • Monitor and report on activities to the line manager, ensuring relevant management information is provided.
  • Participate in B2B sales meetings.
  • Upsell and expand existing customer accounts.
  • Meet and exceed various KPIs and sales objectives.
  • Perform standard account management administrative tasks.
Training and Development

Comprehensive onboarding and product training will be provided, along with:

  • Opportunities for rapid advancement and potential leadership roles within the organization.
  • A culture that promotes continuous learning and professional development.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of commercial experience.
  • Experience in the FMCG sector is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in IT, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in direct sales.
  • A basic understanding of Profit & Loss statements.
  • Exceptional business writing, time management, influencing, customer service, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • A full, clean driving license.
  • A flexible approach to work.
  • Confidence, creativity, and initiative.
  • A creative mindset.
