About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Sales Manager South to join our team at GERFLOR. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing our Southern-based Flooring and Accessories Distributors, driving business growth and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and their branches in the South of the UK, including stock and sales analysis and rebate monitoring.
  • Training and Development: Train area sales managers and instore teams on the benefits of GERFLOR and GRADUS product ranges.
  • Trade Counter Visibility: Proactively manage Trade Counter visibility and POS presence to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Order Management: Align with Area Sales Managers to enhance the need to pass-back orders to distribution for products attached to a dedicated product basket, within clear pre-set guidelines.
  • Sales Performance: Track the effectiveness of measures and actions initiated to increase sales and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather market intelligence data to report back to the Marketing department, informing future strategies in the marketplace.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of field-based sales experience within the building materials industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of the UK building materials industry and the role of distributors.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills on all management levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Excel knowledge.
  • A proven track record in executing successful sales strategies.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented working approach.
  • Good networking skills and the ability to develop long-term business relationships.
  • Structured working approach and high level of autonomy.
  • Willingness to travel.
