Staff Nurse- Surgical Specialties

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is 12 hours rotational over 7 days.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a B5 Registered Nurses to join the Surgical Team in H North at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. H North is a 22-24 bedded Surgical Receiving ward, which admits patients from ED, SAU and other specialties.

You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care is delivered to this defined group of patients. You will competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.

You will provide good clinical leadership along with the SCN/CN for the assessment of patient needs, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care which are evidence based, utilizing all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers, and significant others.

It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and it would be advantageous but not essential if you have relevant post registration experience within a surgical environment.

H North is a well established team that will provide good learning opportunities within a surgical receiving ward environment.
