Greenock, Inverclyde, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

NHS Scotland is a prominent healthcare provider, employing a diverse workforce dedicated to delivering exceptional health services. We cater to a vast population, ensuring comprehensive care across various settings including acute hospitals, community services, and mental health facilities.

As part of our commitment to enhancing work-life balance, we are transitioning to a 37-hour work week for full-time staff, effective soon. This change will also apply proportionately to part-time employees. While we strive to implement this across all departments, some areas may require temporary adjustments in working hours.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess a valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) UK. Please note that applications from newly qualified nurses or midwives will not be considered.

This position involves a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, with salary adjustments made for part-time roles.

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Band 5 Nurse within our specialized Endoscopy Unit, equipped with cutting-edge technology and facilities.

The demand for endoscopic procedures is on the rise, creating a dynamic and often challenging work environment.

The ideal candidate will receive robust support for their professional growth, collaborating with a skilled team.

We seek individuals who are passionate, driven, and eager to engage in the endoscopy field. While prior experience in this specialty is beneficial, all applications will be evaluated fairly.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Conducting pre-assessments and providing care for patients undergoing day case and inpatient endoscopy procedures.
  • Assessing patient needs and delivering outstanding nursing care until discharge.
  • Learning new skills to assist both Medical and Nurse Endoscopists in the procedure rooms.

Flexibility is essential, as the service operates on a five-day schedule.

Moreover, candidates may be required to work across multiple sites within NHS Scotland to fulfill service demands.

NHS Scotland is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, welcoming applications from all community sectors.

We proudly support the Armed Forces Community, recognizing the valuable skills and experiences they bring to our organization.
