Job Opportunity in Critical Care Nursing

Important Note: No new qualified practitioners will be considered for this role in 2024. A live NMC UK pin is required to be eligible for this position.

We have two full-time positions available, each working 37 hours per week. The shift pattern is rotational, with a mix of day and night shifts.

Critical Care IRH: All posts will be based within the Clyde Sector of NHSGGC. Critical Care Clyde includes a mixed High Dependency and Coronary Care Unit on the IRH site, with facilities for stabilizing patients requiring Intensive Care prior to transfer. On the RAH site, we have Intensive Care and High Dependency units.

Working in IRH Critical Care provides an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in relation to a wide range of patients requiring level 1, 2, and 3 care and interventions. This is an exciting opportunity for registered nurses to work in Critical Care, where you will work in a busy and challenging nursing and multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care to critically ill patients with one or more organ failure requiring organ support, specialist care pathways, and closer nursing observation.

We are looking for caring, compassionate, and motivated registered nurses to join our team. As a service, we will support you to continuously develop with the support of our Practice Educator and through the exciting opportunities our team has to offer. You will be part of a team delivering care from admission to discharge from critical care and will be required to tailor your approach to a broad range of individuals and circumstances to meet the patients' needs.

Cross-site working within Critical Care Clyde is an expectation to meet the service needs of our patients.
