Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated specialist doctor in Rheumatology to join our esteemed team. This role is based within a reputable healthcare setting that offers a comprehensive range of District General Hospital Specialties, complemented by state-of-the-art support facilities, including a modern radiology department.

Team and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and friendly team that provides Rheumatology services to a diverse population. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of Rheumatology services, catering to a community of approximately 400,000 individuals.

As part of a dynamic Rheumatology Department, you will work alongside a team of 8 Consultants and a dedicated group of nursing staff, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Together, we are committed to enhancing patient pathways and delivering high standards of care, outcomes, and safety.

Subspecialty Interests

We encourage candidates with subspecialty interests, particularly in axial spondyloarthropathy and psoriatic arthritis, to apply. The department values close collaboration with Primary Care and welcomes interests in enhanced vetting and ARCT.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold full GMC registration and a license to practice, with a minimum of 10 years of full-time Post Graduate Training, including 6 years in a relevant specialty. Equivalent experience and competencies will also be considered.
