About The Job

To oversee the successful planning, design and execution of the Finance and Actuarial small change portfolio. They are responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring delivery of desired results on time and within budget. Key objectives include managing risks, resolving issues, and implementing changes effectively when necessary to meet business outcomes. The Delivery & Release Manager serves as the key point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining communication and reporting progress throughout the change lifecycle.

What You'll Spend Your Time Doing

  • Manage Finance & Actuarial small change portfolio by undertaking all aspects of delivery / release management from planning to delivery. Coordinating analysis & workshops, ensuring suitable design and testing and overall project discipline is adhered to
  • Manage the small change portfolio to a set annual budget, ensuring initiatives delivered are of value add to the business and cost vs benefits analysis is undertaken
  • Embed BAU Release Approach for AUL Finance and Actuarial Releases including alignment with ABS IT Release process, Selected change methodology, Governance, Scope control, Plans, Communications, Gate approach, Lessons learnt approach
  • Coordinate and manage Release plan across BAU change and other Finance Change projects managing the total scope for AUL releases including socialisation and prioritisation decisions.
  • Manage entry and exit gates for Release including Go/No Go for Releases
  • Single point of contact for ABS IT and Senior AUL Finance and Actuarial Customers
  • Ensure suitable configuration management and single tool is established to drive releases
  • Track and manage the overall Release user acceptance test execution
  • Document Test Completion Report and obtain relevant sign offs
  • Circulate Release notes with available scope and known caveats/issues
  • Tracks on an ongoing basis lessons learnt for assigning into a continuous improvement process for Releases
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, critical path, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans, where necessary
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to all relevant stakeholders
