London, Greater London, United Kingdom The FA Full time
Elevate the standard of excellence...

An exciting opportunity awaits for a Marketing and Content expert to spearhead the Greater Game initiative.

The Greater Game is a mission-driven grassroots initiative that harnesses the influence of football to enhance the health and wellbeing of young individuals nationwide, motivating them to adopt at least one healthier habit each week.

Research by The FA indicates that nearly a third (31%) of young people lack motivation to exercise, and over half (52%) have experienced mental health challenges in the past year.

This is the impetus behind The Greater Game, targeting ages 12-16 and their associated networks (parents, guardians, coaches, educators, local communities, etc.). This is a long-term commitment, and we believe that leveraging the power and reach of football, alongside collaboration with both existing and new partners, can drive meaningful change.

As the lead for marketing and content execution for The Greater Game, you will be instrumental in achieving key program objectives, including:
Amplifying the reach and visibility of the initiative. Engaging and educating coaches to integrate the program into grassroots coaching practices. Connecting with young audiences through our channels to foster long-term behavioral change. Meeting the commercial expectations of our program partners. Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for the initiative.
  • Design and execute the marketing and content strategy, ensuring seamless integration across communications, campaigns, grassroots efforts, and England Football learning teams.
  • Create a continuous content strategy for a new YouTube channel dedicated to the initiative, including the ideation and production of all content in collaboration with our content agency.
  • Plan and implement paid media campaigns to enhance reach and engagement with targeted content.
  • Assist the grassroots team in organizing an annual Greater Game conference focused on attendee recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the CRM team to create automated email content for program deliverers.
  • Maximize engagement within the program across key stakeholder groups such as the CFA network.
  • Support the campaigns team during peak activation moments and enhance owned channel engagement.
  • Act as the brand steward for the initiative, developing all relevant creative materials with our creative agency.
  • Provide reporting, measurement, and success tracking across marketing channels.
  • Opportunity to lead marketing efforts for future purpose-driven grassroots initiatives introduced by the organization.
  • Contribute to the FA's equality, diversity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Execute additional tasks as necessary to align with the FA Group's evolving priorities.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain the highest health standards, safety, and well-being.
  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check, with the level of check determined by the specific job role and in accordance with legislation and government guidance.
Qualifications:
