London, United Kingdom The FA Full time

Set the bar for greatness...

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Content professional to lead The Greater Game programme.

The Greater Game is a purpose-led grassroots programme which uses the power of football to improve the health & wellbeing of young people across the nation, inspiring them to make at least one healthier action per week.

Research conducted by The FA found that nearly a third (31%) of young people do not feel the need to exercise and over half (52%) have suffered from a mental health issue in the past year.

That's why we created The Greater Game, which is aimed at 12-16s and those associated with this age group (parents, guardians, coaches, teachers, local communities and so on). This is a long-term mission, and we believe that using the power and scale of football, in addition to working with existing and new partners, we can make real change.

To lead the marketing and content delivery for The Greater Game, helping to achieve core programme objectives including;

Drive reach and awareness of the programme. Engage and educate coaches to embed the programme across grassroots coaching delivery. Engage young people across our channels to influence long-term behaviour change. Deliver against the commercial requirements of our programme partners. What will you be doing? Become the lead marketing point of contact across the programme. Develop and implement the marketing and content plan ensuring full integration across comms, campaigns, grassroots and England Football learning teams. Develop an always-on content strategy to service a new YouTube channel, dedicated to the programme, including ideation and production of all content output, in partnership with our content agency. Plan and execute paid media campaigns to help drive reach and engagement of relevant content to relevant audiences. Support the grassroots team in the delivery of an annual Greater Game conference with a core focus on driving the recruitment of attendees. Collaborate with the CRM team to develop automated email content for programme deliverers. Maximise engagement in the programme across key earned stakeholder groups such as the CFA network. Support the campaigns team on spike activation moments and maximise owned channel engagement through these. Be the brand guardian of the programme and develop all relevant creative materials with our creative agency. Share reporting, measurement, and success tracking through marketing channels. Opportunity to support and lead marketing delivery of future purpose-led grassroots initiatives introduced by the business. Support the FA's equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group's changing priorities. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest health standards, safety and well-being can be maintained. As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance. What are we looking for?
