Senior Service Desk Engineer Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Service Desk Engineer to join our team at Computerworld Personnel Ltd in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, preferably across Infrastructure and Networking, supporting various clients in the area.
The ideal candidate will work primarily remotely, with occasional travel to customer sites, ensuring that IT issues are resolved or escalated within agreed SLAs. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing senior-level technical support for complex hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshooting intricate technical problems and escalating as necessary.
- Leading internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents and resolving issues efficiently.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess:
- A solid understanding of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS, etc.).
- Knowledge of WAN Technologies.
- Experience with VMware/Hyper-V.
- Skills with Windows and Exchange Server.
- Good skills in Active Directory, MFA, Endpoint Manager, M365, SharePoint, etc.
- Some cloud experience.
Salary: £44,000 - £54,000 per annum, depending on experience.
