Birmingham Service Desk Engineer Role

We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Engineer to join our team at Computerworld Personnel Ltd. This exciting opportunity is based in Birmingham and involves providing top-notch IT support to clients across the region.

The successful candidate will have a solid technical foundation in Infrastructure and Networking, with a proven track record of supporting various clients. You will work from home most of the time, occasionally visiting customer sites to resolve issues within agreed SLAs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or remote desktop sessions
  2. Analyze and troubleshoot complex IT problems, escalating when necessary
  3. Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of IT solutions
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Service Desk setting
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Strong understanding of Networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS)
  • Experience with WAN Technologies, VMware/Hyper-V, and Windows/Exchange Server
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, MFA, Endpoint Manager, M365, SharePoint, and cloud services
