About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Project Engineer to join our team at Subsea 7, a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a diverse team of installation engineers and coordinate various methods of pipeline reel lay installation for work assignments on global projects.
  • Support the efficient day-to-day running of the installation engineering team and provide regular operational reports on general project engineering activities, technical subject matters, and resource management.
  • Provide guidance to other engineers on engineering subjects and contribute to the sub-contractors selection.
  • Produce installation method statements and procedures, support procurement activities, and subcontract follow-up.
  • Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs, and costing support.
  • Support installation aid procurement, fabrication, and testing follow-up.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Marine, Naval, Offshore Technology, Civil, or Mechanical, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience as a project engineer, with the majority of this experience from within the offshore energy industry.
  • Demonstrable years of experience of offshore pipeline installation methods, ideally using the reel lay method, but S or J-lay method could also be considered as relevant experience.
  • Experience of guiding and leading teams of engineers in project scopes.
  • Clear communication skills, able to speak with all levels within the business, and comfortable working on their own and as part of a team.
