Join Our Team as a Lead Structural Engineer

Subsea7 is excited to announce an opening for a Lead Structural Engineer to become a vital part of our Central Engineering team within the UK & Global IRM division. This position can be filled on either a permanent or contract basis.

In this role, you will engage in a variety of complex engineering projects within a dynamic and challenging environment. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the execution of structural design tasks for both ongoing tenders and active projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your extensive expertise in structural engineering and analysis of offshore and subsea steel frameworks.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of sea fastening, lift rigging, and installation aids.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and design codes while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and review essential deliverables, including design reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and procedures.
  • Conduct stress analysis for various subsea structures using advanced software tools such as STAAD Pro, FS, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
  • Provide specialized structural engineering support during site operations when necessary.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in structural engineering for subsea applications.
  • Familiarity with the production and validation of design documentation.
  • Proficient in the use of STAAD Pro, FS, ANSYS, and ABAQUS or similar software.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple projects.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage project timelines efficiently.
