About the Role

Subsea7 is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to enhance our Central Engineering team within the UK & Global IRM department. This position offers the flexibility of either a Staff or Contract arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage in a variety of engineering projects within a dynamic and technically demanding environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialized expertise in subsea structures engineering, ensuring compliance with design codes and legislative standards.
  • Overseeing the production of deliverables, which may encompass design reports, engineering support documentation, specifications, and various third-party submissions.
  • Executing design and detailing in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conducting stress analysis for subsea structures using software such as STAAD Pro, FS2000, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
  • Offering structural engineering support during site operations when necessary.
  • Mentoring junior and graduate engineers to foster their professional development.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
  • Significant experience in structural engineering and analysis of offshore and subsea steel structures.
  • Proficiency in producing and reviewing design documentation.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software tools.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple projects.
