Position Overview:
Subsea7 is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to enhance our Central Engineering team within the UK & Global IRM division. This role can be filled on either a Staff or Contract basis.

Role Responsibilities:
In this dynamic and technically demanding environment, you will engage with a variety of engineering projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Providing expert knowledge in structural engineering and the analysis of offshore and subsea structures.
  • Supporting the execution of structural design scopes for both tenders and ongoing projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and design guidelines.

Key Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
  • A degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
  • Proven experience in structural engineering, particularly with offshore and subsea steel structures.
  • Familiarity with design software such as STAAD Pro, FS2000, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
  • Chartered Engineer status or nearing completion.

What You Will Do:
Your role will encompass a range of activities, including but not limited to:
  • Producing and reviewing deliverables such as design reports, engineering calculations, and specifications.
  • Conducting stress analysis for various subsea structures.
  • Providing structural engineering support during site work and assisting in Business Acquisition and FEED studies.
  • Mentoring junior and graduate engineers to foster their development.
