Join Our Team as a Lead Structural Engineer

Subsea7 is excited to announce an opening for a Lead Structural Engineer to become part of our Central Engineering team within the UK & Global IRM department. This position is available on either a Staff or Contract basis.

In this role, you will engage in a variety of technical and challenging engineering projects. Your primary responsibility will be to support the execution of structural design scopes for both tender submissions and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your extensive expertise in structural engineering and analysis of offshore and subsea structures.
  • Oversee the production of deliverables, which may include design reports, engineering support to the Drawing Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports, and various third-party submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and design guidelines while adhering to client specifications and scopes of work.
  • Conduct stress analysis for various subsea structures using software such as STAAD Pro, FS, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
  • Provide specialized structural engineering support during site work and assist in Business Acquisition and FEED study execution.
  • Mentor and train junior and graduate engineers.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
  • Proven experience in structural subsea engineering.
  • Familiarity with the production and review of design documentation.
  • Proficient in using STAAD Pro, FS, ANSYS, and ABAQUS or similar software.
  • Ability to lead a design team and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines set by management.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and design guidelines.
  • Experience in delivering stress analysis work on projects.
  • Capability to provide structural engineering support for multi-discipline projects.
