Join Our Team as a Lead Structural Engineer

Subsea7 is excited to announce an opening for a Lead Structural Engineer within our Central Engineering division, specifically in the UK & Global IRM sector. This position can be filled on either a permanent or contractual basis.

In this role, you will engage in a variety of engineering projects that are both challenging and diverse. Your primary responsibility will be to support the execution of structural design tasks for both tender submissions and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your extensive expertise in structural engineering and analysis, particularly in the context of offshore and subsea structures.
  • Oversee the production of essential deliverables, which may include the preparation and review of design reports, engineering support to the Drawing Office, and various technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client specifications during the design and detailing process.
  • Conduct stress analysis for subsea structures using advanced software tools such as STAAD Pro, FS, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior and graduate engineers, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in structural engineering within the subsea domain.
  • Proficiency in producing and reviewing design documentation.
  • Ability to lead a design team effectively across multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with stress analysis methodologies and tools.
