Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our esteemed multidisciplinary team at the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. This role is designed for a professional who is passionate about enhancing the mental health of young individuals, particularly those with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert leadership within the neurodevelopmental and learning disability pathway.
- Deliver direct clinical services to young patients and their families, focusing on complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to manage intricate cases effectively.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.
- Initiate and oversee pharmacological treatments as necessary.
- Participate in regular clinical governance activities, including audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in teaching and supervision of junior staff and other professionals.

Qualifications:
- A primary medical degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or expected completion of CCT.
- Completion of training for the Clinical Supervisor role or a willingness to undertake this training.
- Proven experience in managing complex emotional disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Professional Skills:
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and care quality standards.
- Ability to participate actively in medical audits and quality improvement projects.
- Experience in pediatrics and management training is advantageous.
