Position Overview:
As a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in the Westminster CAMHS Service, focusing on neurodevelopmental disorders. This is a permanent, part-time position offering 8 PAs, with potential fixed-term opportunities to extend to 10 PAs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership within the neurodevelopmental and learning disability pathway.
- Deliver direct clinical care to young individuals and their families, particularly those facing complex mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to manage intricate cases effectively.
- Participate in monthly CPD sessions, local care quality meetings, and senior management discussions.

Clinical Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including psychiatric and risk evaluations.
- Initiate and monitor pharmacological treatments as necessary.
- Support the ND Team MDT in diagnosis and management planning, adhering to established CAMHS care pathways.
- Offer psychiatric consultation to the ND Team MDT and broader CAMHS team when required.

Qualifications:
- A primary medical degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or expected CCT within six months of the interview.
- Completed training for the Clinical Supervisor role or a willingness to undertake training.

Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance and Care Quality standards.
- Ability to engage in Medical Audit and Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Experience in teaching and supervising junior staff and other professionals.
- Background in managing complex cases involving high-risk emotional disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Management training and experience in pediatrics are advantageous.
