Position Overview:
As a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in the Westminster CAMHS Service, focusing on the assessment and treatment of young individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. This position is part-time, comprising 8 PAs, with potential for fixed-term extensions to 10 PAs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and clinical expertise within the neurodevelopmental and learning disability pathway.
- Deliver direct clinical services to young patients and their families, particularly those with complex mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to manage intricate cases effectively.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.
- Initiate and oversee pharmacological treatments as necessary.
- Engage in regular CPD sessions, local care quality meetings, and senior management discussions.

Qualifications:
- Primary medical degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or expected CCT within six months of the interview.
- Completed training for Clinical Supervisor role or willingness to undergo training.
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance and Care Quality standards.

Desired Skills:
- Experience in teaching and supervising junior staff and other professionals.
- Proven ability to assess and manage complex cases, particularly those involving high-risk emotional disorders and neurodevelopmental issues.
- Management training and experience in pediatrics are advantageous.
