About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at the Hillingdon CAMHS Learning Disabilities Team based at Minet Clinic, Hayes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership within the team and contribute to the development and management of the Learning Disability and neurodevelopmental disorder pathway.
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatment for children and adolescents with symptoms suggestive of ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depressive Illness, and other Psychiatric Disorders.
  • Support the Case Manager in assessing and managing risk, and participate in multidisciplinary assessments of autism spectrum disorder.
  • Liaise with paediatric colleagues and other healthcare professionals to devise joint treatment plans for children with complex conditions.
  • Contribute to the collection and monitoring of Clinical Outcome data across the service and maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with:

  • Primary Medical Degree and Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice.
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date.
  • Section 12 MHA Approved and Approved Clinician status.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would welcome applications from candidates with:

  • An additional post-graduate qualification of relevance to working with children and adolescents.
  • MRCPsych (or equivalent) and past experience/special interest in Learning disability.
