Position Overview

The EPR Team is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Training Coordinator to join the BHRUT EPR Training team. This pivotal role involves leading the creation, organization, and scheduling of a comprehensive training delivery framework as we initiate the implementation of the Oracle Health Millennium EPR.

This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with the EPR Training Manager to execute specific training initiatives.

The EPR Training team plays a crucial role in the adoption of the EPR system, spearheading, delivering, and supporting training across the Trust. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of all program training, including the development and management of training schedules. As the technical lead, you will coordinate training development, including assessments for system upgrades and updates. Continuous evaluation and enhancement of training delivery in terms of content, mode of delivery, quality, and consistency will be essential. The post holder will work in close partnership with Barts Health Trust and the existing Barts Health Team. A solid working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) is essential, along with experience in delivering training for EPR adoption.

Main Responsibilities

The EPR Training Coordinator will play a key role in facilitating the introduction of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution, Oracle Health Millennium, for Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT).

This role includes line management responsibilities for a team of Band 5 and 6 EPR Trainers and Collateral Developers, ensuring they provide high-quality training.

The successful candidate will provide effective leadership and direction to the EPR Training team, promoting a culture of excellence. Additionally, they will serve as the technical lead, coordinating testing and training activities while continuously reviewing and enhancing the EPR training offerings.

The post holder will also act as the deputy to the EPR Training Manager when necessary.

Strong change management skills and knowledge of best practices will be required to ensure success in this complex and high-stakes program, with a focus on fostering positive transitions to new operational methods.

  • Teaching or training qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience in developing training materials across various media platforms and delivering training to groups, both in-person and virtually.
  • Experience in building, configuring, and testing within an EHR training environment.

Desirable

  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and leading projects and programs.
  • Understanding of the NHS and the professional and political context in which the Trust operates, including the implications of changes on staff.
