Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opening for a Clinical Services Coordinator at North Street Medical Care.
The successful applicant will possess a strong background in overseeing quality frameworks, clinical initiatives, and data integrity.
This role involves leading a dedicated team of data specialists and administrative personnel.
The working hours are structured for a full-time commitment, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
As part of a dynamic team, you will be tasked with ensuring the delivery of exceptional, clinically effective services while striving to meet or surpass established performance and quality benchmarks, as well as adhering to clinical and information governance standards.
Your responsibilities will include the precise and timely management of the clinical database, facilitating automated data collection and submission processes for all claims associated with the practice's participation in ongoing and future clinical quality initiatives.
In this role, you will serve as the data quality authority, guiding the entire practice team in the effective utilization of clinical and other IT systems.
Additionally, you will oversee the scanning and coding team, ensuring data accuracy and maintaining an efficient workflow.
Your role will also encompass providing administrative support and assisting in the coordination of clinical governance, including delivering training to ensure all staff remain informed about clinical effectiveness, quality, and performance standards.

Job Responsibilities
The following are the essential duties of the Clinical Services Coordinator. Additional responsibilities may arise based on service needs.
Performance Management and Quality Assurance
Support the implementation of national and local quality standards for chronic conditions and other quality initiatives.
Develop and execute practical methods to help the practice achieve performance targets and compliance with guidelines.
Assist clinical teams in identifying and managing patient assessments and treatments effectively.
Ensure the practice maintains appropriate disease prevalence levels.
Facilitate staff training to ensure high-quality data entry and maintenance.
Collaborate with clinical teams to conduct regular audits and provide progress reports on performance metrics.
Engage with relevant organizations to validate patient information and conduct quality audits as necessary.
Act as a deputy for the Practice Manager regarding clinical quality and performance matters when required.
Oversee the implementation of changes to the Electronic Prescribing System.
Provide training and support for staff on the clinical system as needed.
Assist in monitoring quality frameworks and related projects.
Team Leadership
Manage the coding and records administration teams on a daily basis.
Evaluate processes to ensure manageable workloads.
Conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
Support the HR team in recruitment efforts.
Information Governance
Contribute to the practice's clinical governance framework.
Serve as the administrative lead for information governance, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Assist in the management of patient confidentiality and information sharing.
Data Management and Utilization
Ensure the quality and management of the clinical system.
Stay updated on system changes and ensure clinical templates are current.
Facilitate access to necessary forms and templates for staff.
Oversee clinical data submissions for quality frameworks and other reporting requirements.
Monitor patient referrals and support reviews of clinical activities.
Conduct audits as required to support clinical and operational improvements.
Clinical Audit
Assist in regular audits of clinical and administrative processes, reviewing results and planning service enhancements.
Service Enhancement Initiatives
Work with clinical leads to ensure staff are informed of best practices and guidelines.
Support the development and implementation of clinical policies to aid decision-making.
General
The post-holder may be required to undertake additional duties not identified here to meet the needs of the service while ensuring that these do not exceed the expected level of responsibility. Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
- Proven ability to enhance service delivery
