Clinical Skills Educator at Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS

The Division of Surgery at BHRUT NHS is looking for a Clinical Skills Educator to become a vital part of our Clinical Skills Team. We seek a dedicated NMC Registered Nurse or Midwife who is enthusiastic about education and devoted to enhancing clinical skills training. This position entails the creation and implementation of training initiatives, partnering with the Quality and Safety Lead, and collaborating with clinical personnel to improve their competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and execute Clinical Skills Training across the Trust
  • Provide evidence-based training of the highest quality
  • Instruct a diverse range of staff and students
  • Assist wards with skills assessments and educational support
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Safety Lead for Educational purposes

Candidate Profile:

Education/Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with current revalidation
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Experience in teaching, assessing, and mentoring within a clinical environment
  • Desirable: Familiarity with managing challenging conversations

Skills/Abilities:

  • Awareness of diverse learning requirements
  • Desirable: Experience in training delivery utilizing the OSCE methodology

Applicant Requirements:

This position necessitates a Disclosure submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service in accordance with legal obligations.
