Exhibitions Visitor Engagement Coordinator

Permanent Position: 28 hours per week

GLL is seeking a dedicated Exhibitions Visitor Engagement Coordinator to enhance the visitor experience at our venue. This role is not just a job; it represents a significant opportunity for career growth and development.

We are in search of a warm, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individual to become part of our Visitor Engagement team. As the Exhibitions Visitor Engagement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional visitor experience while supporting the execution of our dynamic exhibitions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to the gallery, ensuring a high standard of service that enriches the visitor experience. Maintain an extensive understanding of the venue's programs and exhibitions, actively engaging with visitors to share knowledge and promote events and artworks. Perform daily gallery operations, including opening and closing tasks, while ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the space and securing all artworks and exhibits. Assist the Exhibitions Manager in researching, organizing, and curating exhibitions, including preparation and installation of displays and documentation of artworks. Support the administration of the exhibitions program by liaising with artists, managing contracts, coordinating documentation, and overseeing the logistics of artwork delivery. Help monitor and evaluate the venue's creative programs, collecting visitor feedback and utilizing digital tools to analyze participation and engagement. Stay informed about fire safety and evacuation protocols, assisting in emergency situations as directed by management. Collaborate with the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager to address any issues that may affect the visitor experience. Remain vigilant during operational hours to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of all visitors, reporting any concerns to management. Participate in training and professional development to enhance personal and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service abilities Experience in a public-facing role, ideally within a gallery, museum, or cultural institution Confidence in engaging with diverse audiences A genuine passion for the arts Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Attention to detail with strong organizational skills Familiarity with event coordination and administration Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
