Exhibition Visitor Engagement Coordinator

Permanent: 28 hours per week

GLL is seeking an Exhibition Visitor Engagement Coordinator to enhance the visitor experience at our cultural hub. This role is more than just a position; it represents a significant opportunity for career growth and development.

We are in search of a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated team member to contribute to our Visitor Engagement team. As the Exhibition Visitor Engagement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional visitor experience while assisting with the management of our vibrant exhibitions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to the gallery, ensuring a high-quality service that enriches the visitor experience. Maintain an extensive understanding of the hub's programs and exhibitions, actively engaging with visitors to share knowledge and promote events and artworks. Execute daily gallery operations, including opening and closing procedures, while ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the environment. Assist the Exhibitions Manager in researching, organizing, and curating exhibitions, including the setup and installation of artworks. Support the administration of the exhibitions program by coordinating with artists, managing contracts, and overseeing the logistics of artwork delivery. Help monitor and evaluate the hub's creative programs, collecting visitor feedback and analyzing engagement data. Stay informed about fire safety and evacuation protocols, assisting in emergency situations as directed. Work under the guidance of the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager to resolve any issues that may affect the visitor experience. Remain vigilant during operational hours to ensure the health and safety of all visitors, reporting any concerns to management. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance personal and organizational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

Strong customer service abilities Experience in a public-facing role, ideally within a gallery, museum, or cultural venue Confidence in engaging with diverse audiences Passion for the creative arts Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Familiarity with event coordination and administration Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
