Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic team within the Emergency Services.

This role will provide essential administrative assistance to the department and serve as the initial point of contact for all stakeholders.

We seek an individual who can excel and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

This position is full-time, spanning over five days, with flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities

*Greet patients and visitors to the department in a courteous and professional manner.

*Maintain accurate records related to admissions, discharges, clinic attendees, and appointments using clinical IT systems.

*Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and scanned appropriately.

*Perform general clerical tasks, including filing, photocopying, and retrieving case notes.

*Open and distribute incoming mail as required.

*Coordinate with Estates to request maintenance and repairs, and follow up on these requests.

*Order office supplies and manage relevant inventory levels.

*Safeguard patients' belongings in accordance with organizational policies.

*Process pharmacy request forms and specimens to the appropriate departments.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good General Education (e.g., GCSE English and Maths A-C) or equivalent qualifications.

Experience

  • Experience in public interaction or customer service.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems.

  • Familiarity with various Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Background in healthcare settings.
