Position Overview

As a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Nurse in Charge and guide our Care Teams in enhancing the daily experiences of our residents.

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting individuals with their personal hygiene and grooming needs.
  • Supporting residents during meal times to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
  • Recognizing and addressing individual health and wellness requirements.
  • Encouraging participation in social activities, both within the facility and in the community.
  • Upholding principles of choice, dignity, independence, and respect for all residents.
  • Leading, inspiring, and mentoring a team of care professionals.
  • Ensuring that all care documentation is meticulously completed.

Our organization prides itself on maintaining higher-than-average staffing levels compared to other care providers. Typically, there are up to six team members assigned to each unit, supporting around ten residents, which allows for more meaningful interactions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have relevant experience, a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, along with GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or an equivalent functional skills qualification).
